The Multi-Media Interface Tester (MIT) diagnoses issues with Bluetooth functionality and audio jack connectivity on Honda vehicles. The primary feature of the MIT is to verify whether the vehicle's HandsFreeLink (HFL) system is functional if the customer cannot pair their phone or Bluetooth device. Testing with the MIT allows you to quickly determine if the problem is on the vehicle-side or with the external device itself, such as phone incompatibility with HFL. This can save valuable diagnosis time and eliminate frustration associated with replacing an audio unit only to find it does not fix the connectivity issue.
