Don't cover the headlights with the fender cover. On vehicles with daytime running lights (DRL), the fender covers trap heat which can melt the headlight lense. If working on a DRL-equipped vehicle, make it a habit to set the parking brake. This turns off the DRL, so there's no chance of lense damage.
Fender cover works nicely on the front of the vehicle as well as on the fenders.
To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth.
