Use a hot plate or oven large enough for the complete head to heat the cylinder head to 300° F (150° C) evenly before removing or installing valve guides. Monitor temperature with a thermometer.
To avoid burns, use heavy gloves when handling cylinder head. See page 8-5 for glove information
Chill the valve guides before installing.
Use with air hammer capable of 2,500 blows per minute.
